Amulet #7 - Snowball Truce

After an increase in the number of snowball wars over the last 10 days, (not least the Kreuzberg vs Neukölln spectacular yesterday) I have been trying to find a good way of signaling the desire to reach a truce. Today's amulet is a kind of prototype armband (due, mainly to lack of useful materials!), that could be used to 'wave the white flag'.

"The white flag is an internationally recognized protective sign of truce or ceasefire, and request for negotiation. It is also used to symbolize surrender, since it is often the weaker military party which requests negotiation. A white flag signifies to all that an approaching negotiator is unarmed, with an intent to surrender or a desire to communicate. Other shortlisted ideas:

• gloves with "Don't Throw" printed/sewn onto the palms of the hands
• a white flag on the end of a flexi tent pole you can wear on the back of your coat or backpack
• a little pocket in the palm of a glove that could be unzipped and unfurl a white flag, waved by waving your hand

Hmmm, I think there may be a backlog of sewing-based amulets I'll need to make when I get back to my sewing supplies in Plymouth!
